What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a strong practitioner to work three full days and two mornings a week within our Nursery setting. We want to welcome a professional who values our children and our community as much as we do. We are looking for someone who is good or outstanding within the EYFS phase and works well within a team. We want to welcome an ambitious and personable teacher to our school community who wants to see our EYFS phase develop further and thrive by sharing their good practice and experience.

About Pool Hayes Primary School
Welcome to Pool Hayes Primary. We are a one-form entry school set in beautiful grounds within Walsall. We are very proud of our children, our staff and our community. Over the past year, our children have taken part in initiatives such as the Tycoon Enterprise Challenge, Rotakids with the Rotary Club and raising money for a variety of charities through a range of fundraising activities. We are very much a family and community school. Our children are very important to us and we aim to provide them with the very best education possible.

Inspire, Challenge, Learn
Our children and staff work to inspire, challenge and learn in all areas of school life. All teachers lead a subject area/key responsibility and engage in continuous improvement of this area. This includes attending CPD, delivering relevant CPD to staff, engaging with children and monitoring subject delivery and standards. All staff work together to continue to develop their own practice and are given time to do this. We use RWI Phonics and work hard to ensure consistency of practice and delivery in Early Reading. Our children are enthusiastic learners who enjoy seeing their own success. They are keen to improve and make progress across the curriculum. Our three-year-olds settle and develop quickly, making good relationships with staff and investigating the world around them. Our Nursery class attends every morning and the children quickly engage with their environment. Children’s progress is recorded, assessed and then future learning planned with the class team. Nursery children experience transition into school at the beginning of the academic year and then further transition into Reception at the end of the year. Our child-centred approach ensures every child makes progress and aims for the vast majority to reach GLD at the end of Reception.
