7/11/2018 - Football result.

Pool Hayes Primary’s A team played their first league game andreally impressed myself and Mr Fletcher.

The team played against a very talented King Charles Primary, who had some great players on show. However Pool Hayes showed a superb defensive display with King Charles only managing one shot on target all game.

Pool Hayes showed early on they were the better side with Captain Coby coming close to scoring within the first few minutes. With many chances to score, King Charles’ goal keeper made some great saves.

Half-time 0-0.

The second half was no different as Pool Hayes showed somedelightful football, playing out from the back and supporting eachother all over the pitch. Pool Hayes were inches away from scoringas Karan had his shot cleared off the line.

Full-Time 0-0.

Player of the match - Karan, who showed great efforts bothdefensively and supporting the attack, he never stopped from start to finish.

27/11/2018 Pool Hayes 1-1 Bentley West.

Tonight the squad battled through the horrendous weather against a tough Bentley West team.

In the first half Pool Hayes showed some great attacking footballwith the ball rarely entering our half, and when it did the defence showed pure class to play out comfortably and start a fresh attack straight away.

Luke hit the post early on with a great effort from a tight angle, on another day that may well have gone in. Shortly after, Coby’s low cross was too difficult for Bentley to deal with and Robert comfortably slotted away to make it 1-0.

A few more chances looked like Pool Hayes were going to runaway with it but half time came, 1-0.

In the second half Bentley came out with a lot of desire and effort, but Pool Hayes coped well, hitting the post and forcing someexcellent saves from the opposition keeper. With 5 minutes to go Bentley really piled on the pressure eventually grabbing an equaliser. Pool Hayes created chance after chance but just couldn’t find the net.

Full time 1-1.

Player of the match: Regan for a superb defensive display andshowing her value with some great passing from the back.

I would like to add how well the children represented their school, they were a real credit to us today!
